Gary, these are great tips! Thanks. Another resolution I'd include is to make a commitment to increase your business knowledge daily. I just previewed a new book "Built to Sell" by CEO and former Inc Magazine editor John Warrilow and it really rocked my perspective about small business success. Take his 10 point small business quiz and you'll find out quickly why it's so important to grow your business as if you're going to sell it, even if you're not planning on do it. Having an options strategy is key.

Fantastic article. Couldn't agree with #2 more! Many small business owners don’t yet have an online presence at all. Before taking that first step, check out Office Live Small Business. It’s template-based, so you don’t need to know or learn how to code, plus it’s extremely inexpensive.

Check it out at http://www.smallbusiness.officelive.com.

For great tips and conversation about running a small business website, join the community over on the Office Live Page on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/officelive.

Cheers,
